1. What if I want to return my cover, even though it is not defective…what if I just don’t want it?
Most of our products, including futon covers, are returnable within 30 days of receipt of goods. If you wish to return any item, you need to obtain an RAN (Return Authorization Number), either by calling us at (800) 231-1651, or emailing us at orderfutoncover@aol.com. Simply provide your name, your original confirmation number, a description of the item you wish to return, and the reason for return. Note that no items will be accepted for return without a Return Authorization number, and that these items will be returned to the sender. Read FAQ #2 below to see what items are not returnable.
We do not charge a restock charge, unlike most other online companies. And, if you wanted to exchange or “trade-up” to another cover, you can pay the difference, no restock charge will be applied, except for a small, $8.50 fee, to cover our re-shipment charges to you. If you want to see the fabric you are buying ahead of time, you can order up to 5 free samples of material by emailing us at orderfutoncover@aol.com (provide name, address, and material name).
2. Are there any items that are not returnable?
Items that are not returnable include the following: twin covers of any fabric, custom sizes including chair and ottoman sizes, any non-standard size made using customer measurements of any kind, futon gripper pads, and Protect-A-Bed covers (due to Sanitary Bedding Laws). Items ordered from clearance or sale categories are also not returnable. Note that covers made with 4″ lofts are considered custom and cannot be returned under any circumstances.
Returnable items are accepted only if they have not been laundered, or have no evidence of animal hair, dirt, debris, liquid spillage, or any evidence of use. It is against state Sanitary Bedding Laws for us to accept any items in this condition.

4. Why should I buy from you and not from another supplier Online?
As you have probably noticed, our site is a lot easier to use than most other online suppliers. This is because we employ a usability mindset about our site design that is the direct result of years of retail and e-commerce experience.
Also, ALL of our covers are made in the USA, by seasoned craftspeople. Many of our competitors sell imported futon covers, and you can’t even buy matching pillows or bolsters with your cover. Almost all of our covers have a picture attached showing you the cover on a futon frame so you can see what you’re buying!

5. I’m not sure of the size of my futon mattress. What should I do?
Please take our Futon Covers 101 course, located in this website. You will know how to measure your mattress when you finish the course. It’ll take you five minutes. Remember that measuring a futon mattress is a bit like measuring a marshmallow. Most mattresses are standard industry sizes, so use our guide to get a general frame of reference. Also, we do custom sizes as well, and you can give us a call to get prices on anything in other than standard size.
6. How long does it take to get my futon cover once I place my order online?
Once you place your order online through our shopping cart, the average arrival time is 10-14 days after you have placed your order. Some covers ship faster than others, but allow up to 14 days for standard orders. If you choose the 4″ loft option, which is considered custom, be aware that it could take up to 3 full weeks since these items are hand sewn to order.
7. Do you ship to Hawaii or Alaska, and if so, how much extra is it to ship there?
Shipping to Hawaii or Alaska is not included in any items we offer. Typical upcharges to ship a futon cover is about $24.50. If you add a pair of pillows or bolsters to the order, the cost to ship will increase to as much as $65 extra, due to the volume of the package. These charges are handled on a case by case basis, and note that if you do place an order online for shipment to Hawaii or Alaska, you will need to call us at 1-800-231-1651 to pay for additional shipping before your order will be processed.
